Fall 22 Readathon: Team Cranberry

It is still hitting above 100 degree heat index over here, so I'm using this challenge to manifest a cold front haha!

We have had a couple days in Nashville with highs in the low 80s and no humidity. Supposedly rain for the weekend which may mean the softball and soccer games I would attend won't happen.

Please add your pages read and hours listened to on the team spreadsheet.
Let's have some fun. Go Cranberries!

Oops, Becky, you're right. We did have quite a few from the PST time zone so they are a bit more scattered! Shouldn't be a bother though.
I'm in Louisiana, where it is still hot and muggy and a million degrees, but no hurricanes yet this year so I'll take what I can get.

Yes! You just can't have the same person read the same book and use it for two different prompts. But if two different people read the same book, that's fine.

Thanks. I thought so, but wanted to check. It will be fun to compare notes with Lois on the book.

I'm in Saskatchewan (Canada) which is central standard, but I'm a night owl, so I'mm more likely to be on late at night than in the morning.

Oh man my library hold hasn't come in yet. I'm about to just use an audible credit or something!

Looking forward to comparing notes. I started it last night...and got 100 pages in and had trouble putting it down. I played tennis in college (D3) and was surprised to find Carrie was a tennis player.

One of the women in my book club reads a lot of Karin Slaughter, will be interested to hear how you like that book.

I am in Mountain Time so we can be behind everyone else together :)

Finished my first book of the Read-a-Thon, which counts for... exactly zero prompts lol. It was audio of my book club book for the month, so it needed to get finished, and I've added the 2.75 hours I read today to the spreadsheet for acorns.
My husband keeps springing things on me for today but I'm hoping to squeeze in the last 120 pages of The Westing Game today (lol it's only 180 pages long..).

Just finished and it was awesome!

So good to hear! I read the other two this summer! So I'm excited to hear that you liked it!! And here I go reading until soccer game!!

I'm reading My Wedding Dress: True-Life Tales of Lace, Laughter, Tears and Tulle which will work for the black and white cover, I think.

I couldn't put Carrie Soto is Back down and thanks to a rainy afternoon, just finished it, using it for the book that features sports prompt. I know Lois is reading this too and there are are several other prompts it will fit.
Don't forget to log your hours read or listened to. We are already half way to an acorn there.

I would put it as a yellow cover we have less books planned for that category

I agree with Deborah, we have lots of mystery options, so lets use it for yellow cover.

Wahoo. Do you want me to fill it in on the cornucopia 1 tab? I believe, until we finalize a cornucopia, we will have the option to move it.

You will work to fill each cornucopia using the prompts provided. You can read to fill them in any order you'd like, and you can refill the same ones multiple times.
Each book read may only be used for one prompt per team challenge. Don't forget about your acorns! You get some for every 1000 pages read (or 15 hours of audio listed to).
ACORNS
- Earn an acorn for every 1000 pages read as a team.
- Earn an acorn for every 15 hours of audio listened to.
Note: Acorns must be accrued to fill the cornucopias. Once you complete a cornucopia, those acorns should not be used on future cornucopias.
