Review: What an excellent ghost story! Incredibly creative, with tons of unexpected twists and turns, I enjoyed every minute of F.E. Feeley Jr.'s The Haunting of Timber Manor.
I listened to the audio version. The narrator, Tony Stone, has great enthusiasm and uses a tremendous variety of different voices for this varied cast. There are some clever sound effects, which helps to increase the drama and dark atmosphere.

Review: The world building in this one was bananas, you really start to comprehend what it is like to live on Rownt and what it is they value. Because of the language barrier, you really got to know and understand both MCs, even with only one point of view. There is a time jump which can be kind of jarring if you don't know about it going into it, but I'm glad it was there, as it made the flow better. There are also themes of hurt/comfort and even some friends-to-lovers that I don't think you normally get out of sci-fi books

Review: I think this is a great start to a new series! Though I highly suggest reading the prequel or you may feel a little lost. I really like both Otto and Jessa and thought they were sweet together (once they finally acted on the attraction). Interested to see how the rest plays out

Review:
I had some issues with the translation being a bit untrue. Which in turn lent itself to issues with the audio performance.
All the tales are about young women. Most are centered around their relationships with men. My favorite though, was the story about the woman who was poisoned in her work cafeteria.

can you help?

We had a great time, Janine. :)
The landscape in Sweden is really beautiful! And we were in a moose park!!! 😍

Glad you had good time"
Yes, but they always look so friendly. As if they were grinning. 😊

LOL, big change from MCR 🤣🤣🤣
Luckily it's in a small theatre and we've got great seats - my daughter loves her, and I couldn't say no.

70. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books of the same sub-genre, but by different authors. Team chose MM romance.

Review: Very funny. I've enjoyed Mark Steadman's performance, and JL Merrow's droll sense of humor. It's a terrific series.
Funny, and very sweet, Mark's story kinda broke my heart.
Thankfully he crafted a lovely new life for himself with the quirky folks in Shamwell.
I'm a little sad that this is my final book in the series, luckily I've got a re-read pile!

Review: I adore ABO shifter books so when my favorite writing duo decided to write one I was alll over it. This book had everything that I personally look for in what I consider a good ABO book: well developed and interesting shifter politics, strong omegas who buck awful stereotypes, alphas who show their strength through more than just their claws, and, of course, some super steamy knotty scenes. I was hooked into the world from the very beginning, and I believe there are so many wonderful ways this series could be taken. There are a lot of unanswered questions, it is the first in the series after all, but there’s a strong romance HEA for two characters who absolutely deserve it. If you’re a fan of these types of stories, definitely pick this one up, you won’t regret it. Also, it’s ABO but no signs of Mpreg, so if that was making you hesitant no need to worry

Task 8 - 49. Each teammate reads a book published in the same month and year, teams decide. No pass for this task.
As a team select a month and year, then each teammate reads a book initially published in that month and year. Make sure you use the initial publication date. If there is a date at the top of the editions page, use it. Otherwise, I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the selected month/year combo in your completion posts.
