Q&A:
Q: Can teammates read the same book for a task?
A: There are a couple of tasks where the team needs to read different books, but if it doesn't specifically say that you are free to read the same book.
Q: Are audio only books allowed for this challenge?
A: If the audio only book is at least 6 hours long - it will count as a book towards a book total or as 150 pages towards the page total depending on what the task requires.
Q: What are the rules if the book is so bad you can’t finish it?
A: I will accept DNFs if you read to the minimum page count of this challenge (150 p.) AND 70% of the book. Books need to be a minimum of 250 pages using the first edition Kindle page count. You must also state that the book is a DNF and explain why in your completion, including the page number you finished on as well. The page you finished on would be the number counted for tasks that ask the team to read a certain number of pages.

Enough needs to be set there that it is listed in the book details or for it to be tagged. The book can have multiple settings though.

OK everyone, hubby and I are heading out of town in the morning to celebrate his birthday! (It's one of those big ones with a zero on the end!) I will be on my phone and busy, so not really able to answer many questions, but I'll try. If another moderator answers a question, their answer will stand. 😊I plan to announce the first task a little earlier than scheduled, probably about 3-4 hours - sometime around 11 or 12 US EDT. Remember you need to post in this thread when you are done with the first task and that tasks are assigned no sooner than every other day. The second task cannot be assigned until Friday. With both college and pro football seasons starting, I’m sure I’m not the only one with sports on the brain! As a team, decide if you are a book with primarily green cover or a book with MPG Sports Romance. If selecting a sports romance, it can either be the generic Sports (alone or combined) or the specific sports such as football, baseball or hockey - but it MUST be MPG! If selecting books for the cover option, green must be the primary color you see on the cover to qualify. No pass for this task.
About Sport Romance MPG, is ok is the book has Sport MPG and Romance MPG but not "sport romance"?

Could you give us some guidance on how to find the Kindle page count you want us to use?
On Amazon, when you look at a Kindle page for a book, there is a page count listed. How do we know for sure it is the right one, if it isn't a very recent publication?
Is there a message # that covers this?

From the message you indicated above, it says what will work:
**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**
Use a kindle edition that fits the description above from GR. Only use a page count from Amazon if there isn’t one on GR.
