I read this book in school when I was 12 years old so almost a decade ago. It is about a girl who moved to a new state and is not happy about it, one day she's exploring the property and starts to find things from colonial America, she finds a lock and is transported back in time to the early years of America the family the lock belongs to take her in and she learns how to live in that time. Eventually, she is transported back to her time where she tries to find out what happened to the family that took her in.

Hi, (I don't know how this group works so forgive me if I do this wrong),I think I might have an idea? I haven't read these books but I own them, is it possible its part of the Locket of Dreams series/collection of books by Belinda Murrell? I don't know the plot very well, but there are multiple books where someone finds a locket/family heirloom that transports them back in time. I might be wrong, but is it possible?

I don't believe it could be that series because it's based in Australia, and OP's book was colonial America.Jenna, does anything on the Timeslip in Children's Fiction list look familiar?
