Do you even remember anything about the contents of the book? Maybe there was a human involved, just ponies, they lived on a farm, anything little?

bookel, the runaway pony! that's it! I'm so impressed you came up with that! I spent ages looking online at covers and things! because I literally remember nothing about it but the cover! that's amazing! thank you so so much!
Yep, thought The Runaway Pony was most likely. All I did was walk over to my bookshelf. :) I collected the series at the time and still have all of the books. These original covers are the best. Good stories, too.
I can't remember what happens, but I found a copy on eBay with the same cover, so I ordered it for myself for the nostalgia! thanks again!
I don't recall what happened either but remember enjoying them! That's the beauty of rereading.

All I remember is that the book likely came out around 1995. It was a children's book, mainly blue cover with a picture of a kind of sandy coloured pony on it.
It might also have had some kind of shiny silver or blue on the cover, but I'm really not sure about this.
I remember winning a colouring competition aged about 6, and the prize was a book from the Scholastic book fair. I wanted this book about the pony, but they wouldn't let me have it because it was 'too old' for me. Though I was already reading beyond that level. They made me choose a picture book instead. My parents did eventually get me the book about the pony a little later. I'm sure I kept it for years, but no longer have it. So that's why my memory is so vague!
