Hey :) I am fine with anything for a name. Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun is cute but I am honestly fine with whatever. I have never done this kind of challenge before, so I will try and follow your lead. We can start with whatever monster you want. I don't have any specific books to read. I'm open.
This is my first time doing this as well. I keep a list of books that I will be reading for the month. I planned on starting Last Sacrifice and Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law tonight, so I was thinking maybe start out with The Mummy first.One of the tasks is
"Create a chain of 3 using titles consecutively"
and
Create a chain of 3 using consecutive series numbers (123)
Last sacrifice is # 6 in the series. So you or Emeli could read a # 4 in a series or 7 or read a book that starts with M or K??
Or with my other book D, E, G, or H?
Did you have something that was inperative that you needed to start for another challenge?

No biggie. I had to work all weekend. I dont think it matters what part of the monster we work on just as long as we stay with the one until we complete all the tasks.
The mummy one is going to suck.

Leg 1 - Create a chain of 3 using books with "mummy" in the title
Leg 2 - Create a chain of 3 using consecutive series numbers (123)
Since Emeli is reading a # 1 book. We can put that towards Leg # 2, which would mean having to do a # 2 and a # 3. I can do either book series 2 or 3 or both if needed or we can start working on his other appendages. I have a book for pumpkin and a book for mummy.
Another thing I thought of.I am currently reading a book that is # 9 in a series that has 536 pages which would give us 5 points. Im not sure how y'all want to play this? Do you want to try for the most points? Do you want to just play it as it comes along like following Emeli's book 1 with a 2 and a 3?
I'm not a competitive person. I play to have fun, but if need be I can play that way. I'm adaptable and just want everyone to have fun. So let me know what you 2 want.

Gotcha...That sounds good. We can just follow suit with what Emeli is reading. I have a ton of 2's and 3's so i have no preference. I can do whatever.

I have finished my number 1 Book and put it on the spreadsheet
Scratch that mummy book that I did. Since it was a children's book, the word count was not enough to count. so back to the mummy drawing board.
I am working on a # 3 book for the mummy leg. I will look for a pumpkin and a mummy book.Have either one of you found one yet.
I found one and finished it. Dark Harvest I picked it up on Audible. It wasn't great but it was quick. 169 pages, so only 1 point but it worked for the challenge. I think I can share it with a friend if either of you want to use it. So I completed my tasks for the mummy. I'm happy to read something else if needed.

I'm open to any of the monsters. I don't have a particular book lined up to read. Do either of you have something picked out? It seems to take me a bit to find books, I don't know why.
I'm open as well. I have nothing set in stone and just some potentials lined up from browsing. some will be a bit harder than others ike the spider one.

Book # 1 in a series(Frankenstein Arm 1 or Zombie Arm 2 - if we use the word Angel in all 3 Books
(Witch Leg 1 or Zombie Leg 1- # 1 in a series/ will need a # 2 & a # 3)
(Witch Leg 2 - Book Starting with I - Would need to follow up alphabetically)
- (Frankenstein Arm 1 or Zombie Arm 2 - if we use the word SECRET or DAUGHTER in all 3 Books(Witch Leg 2 - Book Starting with S - Would need to follow up alphabetically)

Rules
🧛Each monster has specific chains that need to be completed.
Examples:
1. Create a chain of 3 using titles consecutively (ABC)
-All the Light We Cannot See
-Becoming Mrs. Lewis
-Catching Fire
2. Create a chain of 3 with "dog" in the titles
-Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike
-The Dog Stars
-Hot Dog Girl
🧛One person should NOT complete a whole chain by themselves. This is a team challenge.
🧛You may choose which creature to capture first but you MUST complete it BEFORE starting a new creature.
🧛You may use or drop articles: A, An, The
🧛If you somehow manage to incorporate a Formal Buddy Read book into a chain, you will earn 2 bonus points. See the buddy read folder for the current book. They are also listed in the spreadsheet dropdown list (when your team has a thread & spreadsheet assigned to them).

Scoring
You will get 3 points for every completed book (9 per completed chain) PLUS page points.
