Thanks for the great picks. I'm especially having high hopes for the ghost history book, and keeping my fingers crossed just in case, because it just sounds so interesting. ^_^

For your two regular picks, I went with The Righteous (The Beautiful, #3) by Renée Ahdieh (a series that I wanna start) and This Is Not the Jess Show (This Is Not the Jess Show #1) by Anna Carey (which has now been added to my own tbr), and for your bonus book I immediately went with one of my favorites, Into the Drowning Deep (Rolling in the Deep, #1) by Mira Grant . It was a very me-centered theme, but hopefully they work out for you as well. Enjoy. ^_^

I've seen your shelves and your "me centered choices" are the same as mine. We seem to share similar tastes in books. Thank you for the picks.

I finished The Undoing Project A Friendship That Changed Our Minds by Michael Lewis today. Really interesting. Still waiting for my bonus book to come in at the library.

Marty (martymill) | 1300 comments I managed to finish Bad Girls at Samarcand Sexuality and Sterilization in a Southern Juvenile Reformatory by Karin Lorene Zipf today. Not a cheery read, really hits home how ingrained misogyny and male control of women's sexuality has always been in our society. I'm currently work on The Girls by Emma Cline , should get it done by next week. The other book is 600+ pages, doubt I'll manage that one.

Mansplainer (Last Man Standing, #3) by Avery Flynn How to Fake It in Hollywood by Ava Wilder

message 69: by Penumbra (new)

Penumbra | 487 comments Finished two books. Won't get to the third. My ratings:

The Professor's Green Card Marriage by Heidi Cullinan - 4 Stars. Both characters had a lot of issues they needed to work through.

Tartan Candy (Fabric Hearts, #1) by K.C. Burn - 3 Stars. Disappointed in this one.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 2365 comments Chelle, thanks for your picks. I loved The Priest (The Original Sinners, #9) by Tiffany Reisz and at least Bad Doctor by John Locke is off my list. Wasn't for me but it worked for a couple challenges.

Hey Marty,
i have to tell you that I didn't enjoy Mercy's book as much as I thought I would. I have been whining for a book focused on the vampires not the fae, but this didn't hit the spot.

thank you
