YA Fantasy - Hero’s journey with a female main character, there is maybe an early scene in a horse stable, there is also a robot sidekick? Distinctly remember a scene taking place on top of a wall. Read between 2000-2004

I really think it was fantasy, but it could’ve been sci-fi. I think my memory leans more toward fantasy with magical elements. I remember the female character being the daughter of the king and queen, and it being like a feudal society

This is a long shot, but Hexwood was a fmc and a robot (not exactly her sidekick, more another character's) and a lot of Arthur hero references. There is some slippage of time or memory.

Was the robot a horse? That could be The Warlock in Spite of Himself. The MC is visiting a more feudal-like society where his tech seems like magic, and he has a romance with the princess.
