I read this book around 2014-2016 and, if I remember correctly, it's a trilogy. But, not long after I read the first book, I got into an accident and can't remember its name nor author. What I do know is that it was written originally in English and it was either a British book or an American (I read it in Spanish).
I also vaguely remember the plot, so I will try my best to describe the bits and pieces I recall.
It started with an adolescent girl that had bad behaviour for a long time and, after she was caught in her highchool with another guy (I think it was her best friend) vandalizing it, she was sent to a boarding school to be educated more strictly.
This boarding school actually had rich kids in it, whose parents are influential people in our society. And, if I don't remember wrong, the protagonist actually uncovers the mysteries about these important people and the school itself. Also, as mentioned in the title, I do remember that the school is something like a gothic church (I'm talking about the building itself as it actually has nothing to do with religion).
Another thing that I remember is that there were two guys as the romantic aspect of the book. One was a rich guy that was supposedly very educated and sweet who was interested in the protagonist, despite her coming from a "poorer" upbringing (I say poor, but I think someone in her family is part of the influential people and that's how she got sent to this school). However, I have got to mention that (I think from here on it's a spoiler, so SPOILER),
during something like a prom dance (I think it was Christmas), he actually showed a very disgusting behaviour towards the protagonist. He tried to get her alone and I think he drugged her or something similar. The feeling it gave was that he wanted to get in her pants. However, over the next few days, he said sorry and that his behaviour was because he was drunk.
The other guy is more of a mystery. He doesn't relate with the rest of the kids and disappears half of the time. Also, he doesn't have the "rich guy vibe" like the other one and he doesn't seem to be overly interested in the protagonist at the beginning; but he ends up in different predicaments with her and their relationship starts to build up slowly.
And, another thing I do remember is that the protagonist makes a good friend (a girl) with whom she goes on a vacation where she rides horses and plays golf with her.
And, lastly, I'm not sure if this is actually from this trilogy or if I'm mixing it up with another book, but I'm pretty confident the first book ends with the high school being burnt down.
Overall, the feeling that it gave me ( especially all the antique high school ambience) reminds me a lot of the book Dead Beautiful written by Ivonne Woon. The book I'm looking for is not from this author, but maybe this info could help.
Sorry if this is not enough info and hope someone can help me find it.
