I just found out about "The Gilda Stories" by Jewelle L. Gomez! It's about a Black lesbian vampire! I just ordered a copy, I'm so excited. I'm currently reading "Lakewood" by Megan Giddings and "My Soul To Keep" by TananaRive Due. I also plan on reading "Ring Shout" by P. Djèlí Clark

I’m already off to a shaky start y’all . Just finished WhiteSmoke and uh that’s a 2.5 for me. Lakewood is starting off painfully slow, so I’m switching gears to some vampires. I’m still excited just need to my groove.

I took a break from Lakewood because some of the repeat literary devices were really getting on my nerves and the audiobook was not helping. I hope you like your other reads :D I switched over to vampires and immortals

i really enjoyed the ballad of black tom despite not liking a previous victor lavalle i've read (the devil in silver), and i really did not enjoy miles morales: spider-man despite loving everything else from jason reynolds i've read! just thought that was something interesting that came up :')

Thanks for the readathon Bre! I had a great time reading some spooky & creepy books by Black Authors. In researching books to read, I’ve learned of so many authors that are new to me, I’ll be sure to read more of them during the rest of the year. See y’all next October!
