I found this book in my middle school library, around 2011. It's a YA realistic fiction novel about an antisocial teenage girl with a shaved head who draws her eyebrows with an orange marker. I don't remember her name. She also wears a white lab coat everyday. She loves sci-fi movies and lives with her mother, a retired actress, who is divorced from her father, a special effects makeup artist. She has a crush on an actor in her favorite movie and even has a wet dream about him, so this book is definitely not targeted towards children. She falls in love with a boy who transfers to her school, despite being unfriendly to him at first. At the end of the book, she stops wearing the white coat, makes friends with a girl who tutored her, and decides to work with her father doing sfx makeup over the summer. I thought the book was called "Girl with Orange Eyebrows", but when I looked it up I found nothing. I would appreciate it if someone could help me find this book!
