I've got a knack for figuring out what's working in a manuscript and what needs to be tweaked for improvement, so my beta-reading involves a full analysis of every element of a draft. I will give feedback on the characterisation, plot, pacing, sequence, dialogue, world-building, and the flow of the prose. I will poke holes in the story framework to find any hitherto undiscovered inconsistencies or plot holes that might diminish the manuscript's readability.

— I usually leave in-line comments on the shared document; prepare a report with my detailed impressions and suggestions; and fill a questionnaire with more than fifty (50) questions on everything from dialogue to pacing to the flow of the prose.
