❤️BOOKS❤️books can be used for spellouts OR hunt items
Pg counts
50 >160 = 2 ( words/spellouts)
161 >300 = 4
301 > 500 = 8
501 + = 12
❤️SPELLOUT❤️ includes
first letter of title, author first/last name, character names/nickname, / series name, audiobook narrator ( if listening), translator ( if translating)
❤️FRESH MEALS ❤️ (must be used within the month - page count of 50 pgs+
🔹️ Sandwiches have a minimum of 7 and maximum of 10 items.
🔹️ Fish and chips have a minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 items...must inc fish/chips/salt/lemon..( vinegar)
🔹️ Coffee has a minimum of 1 and maximum of 6 items.
🔹️ tea(tea, milk, sugar, water, cream) Note for scavenger hunt only: Must contain at least tea and water. Other items are optional.
Tea has a minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 items.
🔹️ Salads have a minimum of 5 and maximum of 15 items
❤️FROZEN MEALS❤️ Can be used in the following month. Page count of 160 +
🔹️Pasta have a minimum of 7 and maximum of 10 items.
🔹️Quiche have a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 items.
🔹️Curries have a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 items.
❤️DESSERTS, DRINKS, COCKTAILS;❤️ can be shelved/frozen and used at any point through the challenge. 500+pages.
🔹️ Champagne, wine, liqueur, beer (generic term or a specific brand/type)
🔹️ Chocolate, fruit, marshmallow, ice cream, custard or any dessert (generic term or a specific type, e.g. “tart”)
🔹️ Water, Juice, soda, soft drinks (generic term or a specific type, for e.g. Lemonade)
Desserts, drinks and cocktails have a minimum of 1 and maximum of 5 items.
❤️MONTHLY SPECIAL ❤️. For Month 1, this is a fresh item which much be used in the month created.
🔹️ Fijian Chicken Curry (chicken, spice(s) (generic term or a specific type), tomato, coconut milk, chutney, roti, chilli, rice. Must contain chicken, spice(s) and rice. This dish has a minimum of 6 and maximum of 8 items.

10 points per book read
2 points per scavenger word / spell-it-out letter used per book (maximum numbers shown below)
Points are also given per meal eaten:
Sandwich 60
Fish and Chips 45
Fish and Chips with Vinegar 55
Coffee 20
Tea 30

Pasta 40
Quiche 45
Curry 60
Alcoholic drink 20
Dessert 20
Non-Alcoholic Drink 20
Monthly Special 80
❤️CUSTOMERS❤️🔹️Children ; only eat fish and chips (no vinegar), sandwiches, quiche, juice and water.
🔹️Teenagers ; eat all frozen meals, soda/soft drinks and desserts.
🔹️Adults ; eat everything. May even give you a tip (which allows you to preserve fresh food for next month)
🔹️Pensioners only eat Sandwich, Fish and Chips (with vinegar), Tea and Coffee and pasta (and in month 1 the special)
🔹️Customers are randomised at the end of the month to eat the team meals. (This will impact your points as meals eaten will depend on your customers. Waste can also be expensive for restaurants!)
❤️RESTAURANT NAME❤️
At the start of the challenge, name your restaurant and give a (max. 5 sentence) blurb “about” the restaurant. This may just give you an advantage for round 2….
❤️BOOKS OF THE MONTH❤️
For every team member that participates in a Book of the Month (BOM) (by joining the discussion and/or writing discussion questions) they will be able to swap out two assigned customers for others of their choice.
Limited to two customers for each team member per BOM. (i.e. you can't get the customer bonus for writing DQs AND participating. But if you join 2 BOMs in one month, you can get 4 bonuses).
This bonus will be available for BOMs that start after the challenge begins.

Claudia, whenever we start a new challenge we all wander around in a daze for the first few weeks till we get the hang on it, so dont worry about it .Im going to have a look at anfew teams from previous years in the archives ..may give us a few ideas

It should be fixed now on your team sheet. But if you copied the main sheet to make a tracking sheet, you'll need to fix that on your own so I wanted to make teams aware of the correction.
I'm here now! Had a kind of busy weekend and have been feeling under the weather but I found us now. Might need to poke me to remind me to check in because I keep forgetting all my challenges lol. Probably time I start a spreadsheet

Then on Friday we head to Wisconsin to visit my youngest brother, his lovely wife, and their daughter till the following Tuesday :D.

She was over last week and then these past weekend I went to C2E2 (chicago's comic con) with my brother and sister in law. I'm such a couch potato that being super active for one day knocked me on my butt he next day lol

Amanda.....Im having a problem deleting SS's from my google.sheets app that i dont use any more and ive currently got 4 different restaurant ones there ..is there any way you can change the name of our team SS to our team name so i dont keep clicking on the wrong ones
I noticed that we can/should have a description of our restaurant. I imagine it should be fairly broad, but with some specifics to help us out in some challenges. Given our name (and that Wild Oats is/was the name of a Colorado organic grocery chain), I'm suggesting this (but please, feel free to edit):With a focus on plant-forward, fusion cuisine, Wild Oats offers fresh, locally sourced breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus as well as our popular to-go menu and make-at-home options. Even the pickiest eaters will find something to love--and don't forget to leave room for dessert!

Well sort it caipiAmanda , i think initially it may help to have a list where we can put the stuff we find in ours books on a SS ...can we add a pg to this one or will we need a separate
If i can make a list of all all the main ingredients we will need, could we put them along top and our books down side so we can tick them off ., then after about 2.5 weeks we can start adding to SS , we may find after wk 1 we can just add straight in.
Im trying to work out if its better ( pointwise) to go with spellouts or hunt the items

I'm glad because who knows what the list will be.So are you looking for like a check off list like the SH part of Big Bang? But with the main ingredients. I can maybe make something like that, it just won't be super pretty or anything
