Okay, friends, I just started assigning, because it seems hella effed up that we had like a minute to do it, when I swear the rules say we have 48 hours...Our point totals are changing in real time, and I've asked in Kitchen Prep to be sure we did (or didn't) miss a cutoff.
I thought the mods randomly assigned customers when we finished
They do, but I think we feed them? That is, they let us know who and what kind we have, and we match them with meals.If you look at Team Trouble (currently #1), they have no hungry customers and have matched up nearly all of their food. So I'm matching now and will wait to get told not to!
I tried to look on others SS but you need to request access so thats no good

I can see our total going up as you add them ..up to 4,000
Hello, friends--I've got to believe these will all count.We've moved into 8th place though 3 groups still need to match meals. We could move back down to 11th, but no lower than that.
Things I learned:
We had more coffee than we needed (it's the only leftover we had), so focusing on food is a good plan.
Water works for everyone, and that helps with kids. We didn't feed most of them, which suggests we should look for more kid meals if possible.
We didn't get many tips and I don't know why.
Clever names and descriptions don't seem to matter? Maybe the mods care?
Meals are always worth more than desserts and drinks. We should be looking for ways to make curry, pasta, quiche, salad, sandwiches as well as those damn fish and chips.
We should always use the minimum number of ingredients, because there's no bonus for using more. And because I don't think ingredients matter much, we can put blueberries in our quiche.

Im taking it that we have no meals to carry over this month.
We can read 90 books next time round
On the SS , im going to put all meals for spell out at top and all for SH at bottom , so as not to confuse
I think tips is based on than poll that we did Im currently doing a list of meals so you can all see if we need / less more of anything, ill try and post that tonight

Thanks for matching the customers - that part confused me a bit.
I just looked through our spreadsheet and I can't figure out where we can see the tip we got
But as there were do many children I think we should gocus on quiche, sandwiches and fish and chips next month. These are the things with the most points
I am not quite sure how we should have produced 40 more meals ...

I saw the tips somewhere--on the thread page--but they just let us carry over fresh food, which is not an issue for us.
To get more meals, we'd have to only read 300+ page books... which is NOT something I'm willing to commit to, especially as I (like all of us) are working other challenges with this one).

I will say that the North Shore Series are long, good, and have lots of food in them. I've got one left to read and can't wait. I'm also going to read some more Marshals, because long and Ian!

I'm still quite nervous about the spell it out, but will do my best! Categories look good, but if we stay 8-10 (and looking at the SS, I think we might?), this is what we need to move up:8-10

So ive done a few of each and can add to our descriptions
For spell out we can use first letter of Title

Holy Cats--there is a lot to track in this challenge. I thought it was based on our ranking in meals sold. Oy. Got it.
I moved a few things around and got us an extra ~200 points. It doesn't change our rank, but it does help us re: total points.God, I am so competitive.
If you look at the SS round 2 you can see ive started adding sandwichesSo we add our books on main book page as before , then C& P onto kitchen meals and most of info should automatically come up
With spell outs under justification just write

SS is done so you can start adding whenever Spell outs at top / scavenger at bottom
Have used ❌❌❌ to separate each type of meal ( plus will come in handy for any missed letters etc )
Dont forget DDC can only come.from 500 + pages
If you read a book less than 160 pgs you can only use for FRESH food

Done. Also, I put my first book in, and used it as scavenger hunt. I started and fish and chips with vinegar, and added the whole word crab to another fish and chips. I saw in other team SS that you can combine kinds of finds within meals, so I think it is okay. It only had 267 pages, so I thought whole words was more efficient.I'm reading a 500+ page book now!
Also, can we add to or change your lines? I did delete RAB out of my "crab."
We can not use both scavenger and spellout from same book , it has to be one or the other Can you put the RAB back or not as ive sorted so everything above line 392 is for spellout only and below is for scavenger
For your 500 pgs book can you use specifically for the scavenger ..preferably the DDC part

Kirsten sorry to be a nuisance ..all our quiches are using spell outs and we not trying to make more unless we really need to Can you add your crab to one of the fish chips and vinegars ..as one of the fish..like you did with trout

Those U’s are going to kill us! I’ve been trying to get rid of vowels first but have not run into a single U.
Ive been and changed a few of the words this morning that had U' s , but I's are no better Ive been using vowels as well
I just added "and the best man ran away with the groom" because there are a lot of vowels - even if we get only 4 letters

When you read The Alpha and His King, Bennett's last name is Young so I've been using that series to knock out Y's

Ive removed a few more U's ..as we had to find extra tuna , ive been putting it everywhere, but cant see that anyone is checking for it anyway so will just add it to descriptions @Amanda , can you move your N from line 102 to another N please( changed from tuna to salt
I just downloaded a LOT of U books just waiting for clue to start as well in case they have U books so probably don't need to remove any more
I am really feeling bad at the moment, as I have the feeling I don't carry my weight in this challenge. I am really sorry about that - especially as it sounds like fun but also like a lot of extra work to keep track of everything and gain points... I am really fully booked with work and kids stuff. Finally inally everyone is fit again, but now I have to get back on track with the work load.
So maybe just let me know what we need and I'll try to read the books
Dont worry about it Claudia , you just read what you want and make a list of all characters in the book , if you need us to add to SS for you just say
I added a few books as well--I have a couple more, but am waiting to add them because I'm trying to use 300+ books when possible (and those are next up).I'm going to pull a few things off that U list as well.
Also, if we took that first Hummous sandwich and turned it into "Sham Ham" (vegetarian household--it exists), we could use most of the letters we already have (and the others will fit elsewhere) and avoid 2 "u"s.
