Fantasy YA novel. I believe its a series. It starts with the girl imprisoned I think and then she escapes. She eventually meets the king and queen. Has to choose sides for next life. She falls in love with a guy who may possibly be evil. In one book she gets to choose to release someone or do something else? I read it a few years ago and can't find it or remember the name or author. It was around the time Selection by Kiera Cass was popular
