Autumn and Fall are used interchangeably as words for the season between summer and winter, making it the only season in the English language with two widely accepted names. Both are used in American and British English, but fall occurs more often in American English.
Book 1 - Read a book with double-Ls (LL) found in the title/subtile or author's name. Ex:

The months september, october and november got their names from the old roman calender. Based on the latin workds for seven (septem), eight (octo) and nine (novem), they represented the 7th, 8th and 9th month in the 10-month roman calender, and never received a new name. Task could be based on meeting both old and new month-number, in for example page numbers or series numbers, or historical origins (ancient Roman history).

Consonance: Tinman is a very satisfying word to say due to the two syllables ending in the same consonant. I like those options, there are quite a few authors in the first 2 lists. The last one is mostly Rushdie's own work, but that's fine too.

Original idea - but I wonder if those articles disappear over time or somehow get archived where you can't easily find them. It's certainly worth proposing but some people hate having to do any research. Also, some of us are annoyed with GR right now for their obnoxious new version that is basically the Beta version with none of our feedback acknowledged. I am here for the groups and for tracking my own books but not excited about reading other sections.

The bonus theme is The Wizard of Oz: Tinman (heart)
As in past challenges some tasks may revolve around the seasonal theme of fall or autumn. Others may reflect the bonus theme. Other tasks may have nothing to do with either of those themes, they’re just fun or unique ideas to stimulate your reading.
Feel free to post as many ideas as you can come up with. Don’t worry about repeating what someone else has might have already suggested. The more ideas, the better!
The moderators will draw from these ideas as well as their own to create the 5, 10 and 15 point tasks. This thread will be open for ideas until August 14. Fall tasks will begin to be posted on August 17. We look forward to seeing what you come up with!
