Medieval Romance where heroine is married by proxy to kings Knight

The heroine is married to one of the kings favoured knights by proxy who happens to off at war. Her father is angry that he is losing her and badly beats her, which results in her having a permanent limp. After the beating the father locks her in a carriage and sends her to her husbands castle. When the husband finally returns from the war he is angry about how she dresses. He has PTSD from the war and tries to stab her in his sleep.
