✨lee✨ (chaoticinkstain) | 936 comments Our August Challenge is now open for registration and it’s called the "Great Brit-Lit Trifecta" Challenge!

It is a Team Challenge and its duration is from August 1st till August 31st! Please read the description carefully before you join.

RULES:


1.Each participant will be placed in a team by us, but we will try to take your preference into account.
2.Each book can fit only one prompt, but each prompt can be used more than one time.
3.Books with less than 100 pages will not count.
4.You can use as many prompts as you like, and in any order, but only from the prompts of your team.

SCORING:

1.Each prompt earns 2 points for your team.
2.If you write a review you get 2 extra points. (Please note that two-line reviews don’t count as reviews)
3.Page Count Scoring (counts after 300 pages):
300 pages - 1 point
350 pages - 2 points
400 pages - 3 points
450 pages - 4 points
500 pages - 5 points
And so on…
4.If you read our group’s BOTM you get 5 points extra, whether it fits any prompt or not.
5. If it is a buddy read on our group, you'll get 4 extra points.

7. Read a book about a feminist protagonist

CHARLES DICKENS

1. Read a book written by your author
2. Read a book that is a retelling of the author's work (like Mr. Dickens and His Carol)
3. Read a book where a character is named Charles/Charlie or Dick/Dickens
4. Read a historical or literary fiction book
5. Read a book set in the 1830-50s
6. Read a book with a busy city on the cover
7. Read a book with a poor protagonist
8. Read a book written in the 19th century


LEWIS CARROLL

1. Read a book by your author
2. Read a book that is a retelling of the author's work (like Heartless)
3. Read a book where a character is named Lewis/Lou/Louie or Carol
4. Read a fantasy or children's book
5. Read a book set in another world
6. Read a book with an animal on the cover
7. Read a book with a young person as the protagonist (young like twelve, not twenty :))
8. Read a book written in the 19th century

YES they're these gorgeous green hardcovers and im obsessed!! which ones have you bought?

Willow Anne | 1604 comments oh i love that! good covers just make a good book that much better! i got David Copperfield, Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, and A Tale of Two Cities, but i was really excited so i already finished Oliver Twist haha which did you get? or which are you most excited for since it sounds like you got almost all his books haha

exactly!! i've bought oliver twist, a tale of two cities, great expectations, old curiosity shop (part 1 and part 2 seperated), nicholas nickleby (part 1 and 2), pickwick papers (p1 & 2) and david copperfield (p 1 & 2) we should br together soon if you're up to it <3
