I recommend starting with Norwegian Wood if you want to read Murakami. I was hesitant about it but ended up loving it!

I thought that was why I'd heard of him and some of his books, but it doesn't look like I have ready anything by him, either. I though I had. Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else? I do have one on my tbr, though. Although it's also possible it's one that didn't "survive" the transfer from shelfari.
