SOLVED. YA Romance with texting plot. [s]

I don't remember the characters' title, author, or names of characters in the book. It is a book where the mc's best friend likes this guy but doesn't know how to respond to his texts so she makes her best friend text him. And on the other side of the phone, the boy's best friend is texting him. So really the best friends are talking to each other and they eventually get together. If it helps, there was also a tortoise and hare race at the end and one of the characters is in theater.
