I read this book some years ago when i must have been like 10 to 12 I so 2017 to 2018.
So there was this girl who wanted to become a secret agent and wrote everything around her down in her notebook like actions of even complete strangers to whatever she found about her friends, this was a big part of the book. I remember once she went to sit somewhere outside and was writing down the appearance and actions of people at a coffee shop or park
She had two school friends and she lied to them that the notebooks were only filled with a game she liked to play in which she imagined a town, its people and events and wrote them down (which was boring to them).

Her friends found one notebook in the climax and everyone at school was angry at her and found what she wrote about them but later her friends came back and stood up for her.
