Mickey Elam | 1 comments I'm tryin to find the title of a book I read probably 40 years ago.

The pilot, generally, involves human scientists creating a small bubble universe that they then observe and learn about new technology. At the end of the book, the inhabitants of the bubble universe realize that their universe is finite and learn how to escape. The book end with the inhabitants everything from the bubble universe into our universe in spaceships.

Ky's suggestion - Edge of Time by David Grinnell (a.k.a. Donald Wollheim).

Google Books has a snippet search. You might get lucky searching for keywords:
https://books.google.com/books?id=HRq...

Quotes from book:
- Warren looked. Sure enough he noticed that there was a sort of small bubble emerging from the side of the hemisphere...
- ... and meta-galaxies, it was a mere bubble - a space-time bubble, with definite boundaries on all sides. These boundaries were charted; the League of Planets had arrived at such knowledge...
