Was at the lib. book sale today and came across this fuschia pair of shoes!! I'm not familiar with the author, but the shoes make it look like a good summer read.
I read that years ago and liked it, Rhonda. I hope you will too.
OOH, Martha ! Nero Wolfe! I like all your choices but it's been a long time since I read any Stout.

Stout? I drink stout as that’s a good type of beer…
I can’t see any fuschia covers in my tbr list (great colour though!) so I’m going with two yellows:
Jade Dragon Mountain by Elsa Hart
The Wattle Island Book Club by Sandie Docker
OOOH, I have Left on Tenth up soon too, Bonnie. Looking forward to your reaction!
@Carolyn: Wattle Island found its way onto my TBR....not sure HOW that happened.

Karen, I read Color Purple when it first came out and recommend it.
Lindsey, I’ve read two or three Katherine Center books in the last couple years and look forward to hearing what you think of this one.

I'm not sure it's actually fuchsia but it was the closest I had.
Jennifer wrote: "I think it's closer to fuchsia than it is to red, so it's fine as far as I'm concerned."the middle strip anyway :)
Finally finished this book by Nick Offerman. I wanted to read it when the cover color was blue and then I thought I could read it when the cover color was green. The lettering at the bottom of the cover is yellow, so I am counting it. Finally off my tbr.

I did like it. I wasn't sure what to expect. I was really surprised about Ron's interest in sustainable farming. I didn't know that he goes from a family of farmers in Illinois. It was a more serious book than I expected. A little dry humor, of course. I don't think it is for everyone, but I gave it 4 stars. thanks for asking.
I finished
4* the start of another good family centric romance series by Catherine Bybee. In my head I am doing a happy dance because I hit my goal this month. I just need to go back and catch up on the last few months……

@Karen -- I loved that book too -- so glad you liked it!
@Beth -- finishing your "designated reads" in a month is as good as checking the last thing off a list!
@Bonnie -- Good to hear, hope it continues to live up to your expectations!

thank you. It did. A 5 star read for me.
I finished
and really liked it. If you've ever had a sister you kept waiting on to mature, you will enjoy this. 4 stars for me.
An unexpected book for this month. I was reviewing a list of great music in movies and Eddie and the Cruisers was listed. I gave the book 3 stars because I liked the music in the movie and the surprise ending in the book. The writing is very plain and it was an easy read.
Oh wow I'd totally forgotten about E and the C even existing until you just brought it up.......
