I reread The Pandora Principle. A Star Trek novel (original series) which explains Saavik’s background. Good story but Kirk has a minor role. 4 stars.
Captain Vorpatril's Alliance by Lois McMaster Bujold is a different perspective in the Miles Vorkosigan series.
I read Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel. I read both this and The Glass Hotel, and I loved this and was sort of meh on The Glass Hotel. I much prefer the sci-fi aspect of Sea of Tranquility over the much more lit fic Glass Hotel.
