I remember reading it around 2007-2011.
The cover was a POV as if you were falling into a body of water (surrounded by long grass and green, so maybe a marsh or something). The title of the book was also something related to a body of water...

I read it so long ago, I really can't remember the story. But I think there's a missing person or something and the main character goes in search of that person, but falls into the body of water that the missing person is in or something? But then the main character can hear and see people around the body of water talking, but they don't realize that the main character is in there.

Like I don't remember much at all, but I remember it left me feeling really empty inside. I just want to remember what it was!! HELP EVERYONE
