Wesley Mead (wesleymead) | 6 comments I know it was printed by Butler & Tanner in Frome, Somerset as my aunt worked there and was often able to bring home free books for me, and I recall it being among a batch from her. It was hardcover, had some element of dark blue on the cover, was aimed at 8-12 year olds, was likely printed between 1994 and 1999. Title possibly featured some threatening word like “danger” or “SOS” or “peril”. Story featured a boy (maybe boys, but one gets separated) who gets into a water-related predicament - falls into a river, or some other body of water, maybe even a swimming pool - it’s set in a mostly suburban area primarily so definitely not at sea or beachside, and no animals are involved. That’s all I recall, so it’s a tough ask! Thanks for reading.

Wesley Mead (wesleymead) | 6 comments Solved with help from Archive.org (browsing 1996 Butler & Tanner-published books, found a book from child-aimed series and searched Amazon for that series) - it's Deep Water by Anne Turnbull, published as part of their "Surfers" line, this printing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Deep-Water-S...
