Camp slashers, that are in books not movies - wow, that's actually a tough one.As far as something marketed as Horror goes, right now I can only think of
...and
(if the victims start out in a, uh, cabin in the woods).if the books can be more in the suspense line, I suppose you could consider
, and
.It's a bit of a variant, but I'm going to throw in
Two other books you might want to check out are these:
Camp Slaughter by Sergio Gomezand
Kill Hill Carnage by Tim Meyer
The Final Girl Support Group has that in it especially at the end, but it's settings are varied. I loved this book!
Joanne wrote: "Devolution by Max Brooks is… somewhat what you’re looking for."
With all due respect, Devolution is about a bunch of affluent people in a house near the woods and an erupting Mt. Rainier being attacked by a group of sasquatches, That is not a summer camp slasher plot at all.
Jason running around Camp Crystal Lake with a hockey mask and a machete slashing counselors and anyone else who ventures near the camp a la Friday the 13th is the aesthetic the OP was inquiring about.

True, but Devolution: A Firsthand Account of the Rainier Sasquatch Massacre is a great book! 5 stars!

Oooh! Great question! My favorite camp slasher book is The Summer Is Ended and We Are Not Yet Saved by Joey Comeau. It's like Bible Camp splatterpunk!
I did read another one a few months back which was really good. This one:
The Pope Lick Massacre by Eric Butler
Set near an abandoned summer camp. Said summer camp is an integral part of the book and I really enjoyed it. Came out last year and the sequel is forthcoming: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
PS the book is My Heart is a Chainsaw by Stephen GrahamJones, btw (probably should have mentioned that)
You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight is YA but i really enjoyed it, kinda jump scary?
The Last Time I Lied is also set at a summer camp by a lake where previously some girls went missing (presumed murdered) and the survivor returns for more adventures ~
