J | 5 comments Incarcerated individual is looking for a book which was only vaguely described to him as "correlates characteristics of the chess pieces with the personalities of people and the roles that they play."

Suggesting to me the book is non-fiction. I have no idea the sub-category. Maybe something in psychology, sociology, philosophy or self-help?

Unfortunately, nothing more is known. I realize this is a long shot and I'm not holding my breath. But one can hope. Right?

Bobby (bobbyb-aka-plarry) | 37 comments There is an urban fantasy book called The Rook by Daniel O'Malley in which the leaders of a secret magical organization are known by the names of chess pieces. Obviously, this is fiction.

Florence | 683 comments Really long shot but just in case it got mixed up, the solitaire mystery by jostein gaarder has a huge theme of different types of people based on playing cards

If you think this is nonfiction, add "Possibly nonfiction" to your topic header. Right now we have no idea from your header whether this is fiction or nonfiction.
