Roger Sans | 1 comments Hi everyone!
2 years ago I read on the Internet about this book where the main character asks himself who he really is. The plot of the book is mainly focused on that quiestion. The more the main character starts trying to answer the question, the more confused he is until it gets to a point where he does not know who he is.
I cannot recall more information about the book but I think that its purpose was to explain the main character thoughts and experiences while trying to answer that simple question.
Thanks in advanced!

Robert (ricroscupshigh) | 539 comments My immediate thought, which probably dates me, was Taran Wanderer, by Lloyd Alexander.

"Taran the Assistant Pig-Keeper has led heroic adventures and is a friend of princes, yet he is still troubled by his lowly status and determined to discover the secret of his true identity. He sets out to consult the powerful witches of Morva and the mysterious Mirror of Llunet. On his quest to find the truth, Taran must journey through distant realms and undertake a series of challenging tasks. But his greatest struggle is against his own pride and fears, as he learns where true greatness lies."

The trouble is, a lot of books will have some version of that question as a key element. Are you able to remember anything about genre or setting that might help narrow it down?

Fiction or nonfiction? That and the genre need to be in your topic header.
