Anyone else starting the book today?

I just bought where the crawdads sing last night at Books-A-Million! I have read great things about the book and I am very excited to read it knowing that a movie is coming out about it! Anyone else about to start or just started reading where the crawdads sing???

Hey, just started this book a week ago! Thanks to the descriptive writing, it's easy to feel like one has a front row seat to the young girl's life and committed to see how she gets through each day.

I loved both the book, which I read when it first came out, and I loved the movie which I saw last week, though the latter does not follow the book exactly--understandable. It's still filled with beautiful scenes of the marsh and the author succeeded with her rich and descriptive imagery in the book too. The mystery part keeps you wondering.

Yes, you are so right. The writing is lovely and I had the good fortune to meet the author, Delia Owens three years ago at the San Miguel de Allende writer's conference in Mexico where she was a keynote speaker. She was wonderful, funny and the 1000+ audience was enthralled!
