I am trying to find a book series that is a compilation of short stories in each book with every short story being by a different author, and each book follows a different genre. Two that I can remember is one dealing with sports (collection of short stories each by a different author about sports only), and the other I can remember deals with Sci-Fi(collection of shorts stories with each short story being penned by a different author with all of them relating to sci fi based short stories.) In the sci fi book I recall a short story about a group of humans that "colonized" a planet that caused them to age much faster than a typical human. The humans then are forced inside a cave system on the planet for a majority of the day otherwise they die. One character then decides he is going to venture outside the known area(many generations have passed since the humans have landed and they do not remember they have a spaceship in the distrance) and towards a spaceship. The character gets into the space ship and his aging slows down. I then think he goes back to where his colony was and finds people that he used to know very old.

I recognize the short story, but, of course, I can't remember the title or author either. I do know it's a popular story and has been collected many times. Also asked about before. I think it's by a well known SF author.

Short story is "Frost and Fire" by Ray Bradbury, I think.

It appears in the Guys Read Other Worlds book, one of the Guy Reads anthologies that also includes Guys Read Sports.
