    Decade Challenge 2022 (May) - Team 2 - Nathan & Bookworm

@Nathan - As and when we complete books I'll update in msg1 itself, so that the status can be viewed at once.Any categories which you wouldn't prefer to read? If any, I'll take those and vice-versa.
I'll be glad if you could pick horror. :D
I'm taking Non-fiction: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks - 2010Once I complete, I'll strike through the category in msg1.
If you want to take non-fic, let me know, I can choose something else.
@Bookworm:I think I'll call you speedy from now on. Since you're a speed reader. Let me know if you mind , me calling you speedy. 🤣I'll be covering crime/thriller - The Surgeon by Tess Gerrittsen 2001
I don't mind. But I do hope I'll be able to complete some books like previous decade. Else, 'speedy' will no longer apply to this bookworm. 😂
Taking fiction - Purple Hibiscus - 2003.
Updated thriller, fiction titles in msg1.
Apart from horror, any other genres you want to reserve first?
      That's fine. I don't mind. I'll take non-fic, award winner, translation, book-to-movie.
Then we'll be left with YA. Fiction (Purple Hibiscus - 2003 is one option) but we can change later since easier to find.
Lets fill out the book names and years for our categories to avoid year clashes later.
I read one book at a time too. Updated book-to-movie in Msg1.
I'll try to pick something for translation today itself. Then rest of the genres are comparatively easier to find.

Don't be so humble speedy :D
But yeah, I already started with Crime novel. Will finish it by EoD or tomorrow max and pick the next category. Yes, I agree let's fill out book names/Years so that they don't clash.
😂Look who's talking! You started crime already! :D
Let me know how it goes.
I'll try to start non-fic tonight, if not tomorrow for sure.
Fiction: The Paid Companion 2004 CURRENTLY READING
Order in which I will read
Crime --- Sci-Fi --- Horror --- Fantasy --- Fiction
No, let 2003 be for horror. Fiction, will select at last because it's the easiest genre to find. You can go ahead with The Rising as the pick.Updated Msg1.

1) Award Winner - Half of a Yellow Sun - 2006 - Bookworm (Women's Prize, Orange prize)
2) Translation - [book:T..."
@Nathan: Updated Award Winner and Translation.
Translation, I'm not sure but both the books which I have quoted are 2009. So, no changes later unless we need to fit in 2009 for some other genre.
Based on the years left, when you pick Fantasy, I'll update in Msg1. You have 2002, 2004 & 2005.
Of course with speedy as my partner I hate to be left in the dust. Besides, I did say I wanted to beat my previous attempt!

@Nathan:Wow! I think we need to switch names, you deserve to be speedy!
I'm sorry I haven't been able to start mine yet, I have the ebook ready, will start tonight.
Updated in msg1
Is your fantasy pick 300+ pgs?
Leena wrote: "Bookworm the Golden Compass is an amazing book. I hope u enjoy it ss much"Yeah I remember seeing the movie as a kid, I was waiting since ages for it's sequel. I hope I'll love the book too.
Hahaha, I just finished 1 book that's all so I can't be speedy yet! :DYes. 300 pages plus. I'll be finishing SciFi by tonight.
I have the kindle version. Says 302 pages.

I can pick another Fantasy novel same year if the book opted leads to confusion. [I checked the paperback version, shows 288 pages]
Shadowfall 2005
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8...
Add this in message 1, I will probably read this instead of Limits of Enchantment.

But then Shadow fall is 500+. Which one do you prefer?
For now I'm putting or. You can later decide since year is same.
I have seen another fantasy 2005 rec somewhere - Poison Study, incase you fancy it's blurb, I'll change it in msg1.
Wow!!For you, seedy doesn't cut it anymore, you should be named 'flash', or do you prefer 'quicksilver'? :D
Msg1 updated.
Oops..typo..I meant Speedy. :)Reverse flash? You're into DC villians more? My bad. I had no idea who he was untill I looked him up.
@RF: You're pretty quick! The thing that comes to my mind for RF - Radio Frequency/Remote Frequency. :D
LolBtw, How was your sci-fi and crime?
I started my non-fic, it's good. I can see why it's widely read.
Crime was excellent. Sci-fi I'm a confused mess. Steampunk. I had to read a passage of coitus between a human and an automaton. Weird.. And other inexplicable things I found hard to digest.
Yeah, some sci-fi books can get strange. Will check out the surgeon sometime. Serial killer murdering women.
I have yet to read one book where it's the other way round. I might have but no recollection.
He is!! I'm just swamped with work, Sigh!
Tonight, planning for atleast 50% non-fic. *fingers-crossed*
Nathan, that's just wow!! I'm stuck at page 2 and you've done 2 books already! (Btw, I love reverse flash too! Especially the one played by Tom Cavanagh in the CW series)

I have just the kind of book you are looking for. Hahaha. In They Never Learn by Layne Fargo a female serial killer kills men! This book was recommended to me on a Whatsapp group. It's like a female version of Dexter!
