Cai stood on the other side of the door, listening intently to the girl shuffling around. He didn't mind her moving around, there was nothing in there she could do anything with, to his knowledge. Humans before her had crumbled long before this, he couldn't understand how she was still emotionally intact.

Anira muttered curses under her breath as she searched, losing hope with each step. Finally, she gave up and plopped back down on the bed, holding her head in her hands and letting out one last swear, much louder than the rest, feeling a bit defeated.
Cai walked back in and stood in front of her. "This is the last time I'm going to ask. Eat...Please." Cai said in a harsh tone. It had been a long time since he had ever said please for anything, but the other options were to hook up a feeding tube to her, or let her die, and he didn't particularly want to do either.
"You kidnapped me, and then bit me. I don't think I am quick to trust the food you offer, are you?!" She spat angrily, standing shakily and looking up at the vampire. Anira was hungry, starving, even, but she wasn't going to let this monster win.
"I don't think I'd poison my own meal, let alone yours," Cai smirked. "Plus, if you don't eat you wont live long, and if you don't drink you'll die even faster, and how will you escape if you die?" Cai laughed "I won't kill you, if I was going to I would have already, but you'll just be killing yourself if you don't eat. If you really want, we can get medical equipment in here and I'm sure I could keep you subdued long enough to make sure you're sustained." Cai said with a grin, flashing his razor-sharp fangs.
"Is that so? And I suppose some missing medical equipment wouldn't raise questions at all. It's not like it doesn't happen every day. And gods forbid that there's an investigation." Anira smirked, her beaten self more confident than what would be expected. "Because, you see, I'll either kill myself and be free of this servitude, or you'll try to keep me alive and lead the authorities to me to free me as well."
Cai shrugged "I doubt they'd find me, and even if they did it's not like I couldn't get rid of a couple cops. I'm faster and stronger then any human, and a simple bullet wound won't hurt me. " he thought for a moment, then grabbed her face, turning it side to side "Such a pretty girl, I'm sure there are people missing you, aren't there?" Cai scoffed and let go, cutting her cheek with his nail. "You must eat." He leaned against the wall. "I even said please, If you think you'll get better than that you're wrong." He crossed his arms, staring down at the girl. His eyes were mesmerizing to most humans, he knew, "and this girl should be no different". he thought
Anira winced and swore, her hand flying up to her now bleeding cheek. She kept her intense green eyes locked with the vampire's, unaware he was attempting to charm her in some way. All she felt was a vague yearning to do as he wished, which was easily dismissed by the strong willed girl.
Cai didn't break eye contact, he just willed her to eat, or drink, or anything. He really did not want to be dealing with this right now. Why did humans have to be so stubborn? Why couldn't they just do what they are told?
Anira kept staring back, unaffected by the vampire's magic. Her gaze never wavered, never left his face, save for blinking. Her arms were crossed, a slight smirk was upon her lips.
Cai sighed and left the room for a moment, coming back with a chair and a table. He set the table next to the bed. It was an incredibly heavy table, made to be placed and not moved. He set the oatmeal, which was now cold, and the water on it. He then brought the stool into the corner of the room and sat on it, watching her. "I'm going to sit here until you eat or drink," he said. "Since you'll be here for awhile, do you have any questions? This may be the only time I ask you, so I would advise you take the opportunity while you have it."
"And you're going to be here for awhile." Anira retorted, sitting back down on the bed. She was weak from standing so long. "Although, I do have one question. Why the hell would you do this to anyone?!"
Cai shrugged "I have to eat, just like you. This way, I have food at home, and I don't have to go out every time I'm hungry. It's shopping for groceries," Cai grinned devilishly " I think you should remember that if you die, I have to get another person, and that person could just happen to be your mother, or father, or siblings, if you have any."
"My mother is an old bat with too many diseases to count, my father is dead, and I am an only child. Thanks the the witch I call my mother, I don't have friends, either. You have nothing to threaten me with." Anira responds sharply, her voice carrying a sort of commanding grace to it.
"So what, you'd like her to die?" Cai said. "How cruel, even I - the evil monster - would never wish death upon my own dear mother." He thought a moment. "If what I say is true, you don't have much reason to live in the world outside, why not continue to live out your days here. Emphasis on live. "
"I would rather die than spend the rest of my life as your slave- which, you see, I am trying to do." Anira crossed her arms again, seeming so calm and elegant. "And my mother is near death anyways- did I not mention the diseases? She'd probably poison you, the state she's in.l"
Cai was getting annoyed. She was getting cocky and much too confident. This was his home, and he was not going to let some girl take it over. He took the whole 3 steps toward her and grabbed her hair, pulling her head back to look up at him. "Listen, I have played "nice monster" for much too long. If you won't eat, i'll make you. Speak now or face the repercussions." He said.
Anira gasped in pain, grunting as she tried to get into a more comfortable position. "I am not your puppet." She growled, shoving away from the vampire and taking a few steps back. "I am not anyone's puppet, and I will not eat for the mere purpose of being healthy enough for torture! You're not a 'nice monster', you're a monster, an abomination, and no one should even come close to the equivalent of bowing down to you!"
In one fluid motion, Cai grabbed the girls head and smashed it into the wall, knocking her out. "Maybe when she wakes up she'll be a little more obedient," he mumbled under his breath. He threw her over his shoulder, and laid her on the bed. Cai sat next to her and propped her up, feeding her the oatmeal and water the best he could. He got a little less than halfway through the bowl before she started spitting it up. He sighed, cleaned her up and put her back in bed. Taking the dishes away, he knew it wouldn't last long. When he got back he returned to his spot on the stool, watching.
In her sleep, Anira had begun to mutter strange things, words in a different language that sounded almost like music. She seemed distressed, nightmares of her past running through her mind as she laid there, twitching back and forth, the mutterings growing louder and louder.
Cai's head shot up at the sound of the girl talking...or... not talking? He wasn't sure what she was saying. He stood up and watched her twitching. Was this a seizure? He wasn't sure, this didn't happen to Vampires. He shook her, his anxiety rising. He knew he shouldn't be so worried but, this was his meal. "Yeah, that's why I'm worried, totally normal." He reassured himself halfheartedly.
"Einhver hjálpað mér vinsamlegastq..." She cried out softly, still asleep despite the shaking. Her hands shook slightly, memory after horrible memory striking her poor mind. She took gasping breaths as she muttered, becoming more and more frantic. ((Someone help me please, in Icelandic.))
(( Thanks XD)) Cai's breathing hitched. He was never great in school, but he knew many languages. He couldn't identify the whole sentence, but he knew enough to know "help". He shook her harder, finally reaching for the glass of water and dumping the remains on her head.
"Hjálpaðu mér!" Anira exclaimed as she bolted awake, now dripping wet and sincerely afraid. She took shaky breaths, everything coming rushing back to her a bombardment of torture. ((Help me! Is what it says.))
Cai stood up quickly, trying to get his usual stone-cold composure back. He stared at her. "What the hell was that?" He barked, flustered.
"Hvers vegna þér þykir jafnvel, þér skrímsli , ég hata þig , láta mig vera , ég xare ekki ef þú drepur mig eða setja mig frjáls, þú skrímsli!" Anira cried, jerking away from the vampire. She was upset, so upset that she slipped back into her native language. ((Why do you care even , you monster , I hate you , let me be , I care not if you kill me or set me free , you monster !))
Cai sighed "I don't know what you're saying!" He screamed. The language she was speaking in didn't make any sense to him, and he only recognized a few words.
Anira winced at the scream, scrambling to put her back against the wall, as far away as she could. "I hate you!" She shouted, seeming still half asleep. In her mind, this was a nightmare, she could say as she wished.
Cai grabbed her and pulled her to the edge of the bed. "You think you're the only one?!" He screamed, again. "That cannot phase me, everything hates me!" Cai grabbed her arm, his nails digging into her flesh.
Anira screamed in pain, now sobbing. She seemed to lapse into a delirious state, mumbling things in Icelandic and staring off into space as she sobbed and winced in pain. Blood trickled down her pale arm, but she paid no notice.
Cai watched her, sitting there crying. She wouldn't acknowledge him. He sighed and left the room, coming back with a bandage. He sat on the bed next to her, sucking lightly on her arm, drinking the blood until she stopped bleeding. He then cleaned the wound and bandaged it. When he was done he looked at her face, and wiped her tears with his finger. He saw his disgusting long, black, sharp nails on her pale skin and quickly pulled his hand away, disgusted with himself.
Throughout this, Anira kept crying and rocking back and forth, muttering nonsense. The blood loss, lack of food, trauma, and the slamming of her head against the wall, had done something to her, messing with her head. Her eyes were glazed over as she rocked back and forth, sobbing.
Cai was at a loss, he didn't know what to do. He picked her up, carrying her into his kitchen. Looking through the small amount of food he had, he found something to make - pasta. He has never taken a captive out of their room before, and he wasn't sure why he was doing it now. He should just let her sit in there and rot away and he knew it. Cai decided not to think much about it and tried his best to make human food.
"Ég mun aldrei sjá sólina , ég mun aldrei vera frjáls, einhver vinsamlegast hjálpa mér ..." Anira mumbled, still looking like she was in a comatose state. Her whole body shook, tears streaming down her pale cheeks and soaking into her ruined dress. ((I will never see the sun, I will never be free, someone please help me))
Cai finished cooking the pasta, and put it in front of the girl, sitting in front of her. "Please eat this." He said, concerned. She was beginning to look worse and worse, and he wasn't sure she would make it much longer in this state.
Anira responded to the simple command, eating the pasta. She didn't even seem to be aware that she was eating, still staring off into space and sniffling, shaking. Her skin was a ghastly white still, bruises showing through in startling dark colors.
"Thank god" Cai said, sighing in relief. He brought a glass of water to the table "Drink" He said, hoping the command would work again. She took a longer look at her while she ate, she was quite beautiful, "for a human," he thought.
After finishing the pasta, Anira drank the water. She was, for all purposes, asleep, merely responding to the commands in her subconsciousness. Once the water was gone, she went back to rocking back and forth, still crying and mumbling.
Cai watched her intently, waiting to see if she would snap out of her state. He wasn't sure how to make her come back. He almost wanted the snappy, overly confident girl back. He stood up, carrying the girl back into the bed. "Sleep" he said, hoping she would once again follow his commands.
Anira crawled into the bed, on top of the covers, and let sleep take her. It was nightmare free, and she soon stopped shaking, relaxing. Her mumbling ceased soon after, bringing silence to the room.
Cai looked at the girl. Her clothes were covered in dirt, blood, sweat and tears. He slowly pulled off her dress, leaving her in bras and panties. He then pulled the blanket over her. He left the room, coming back with oversized pants and t-shirt, they were his. He knew she would be upset with him removing her clothes, but she was filthy.
Hours later, Anira began to wake, shifting and mumbling something incoherent. She yawned and stretched, blinking the sleep out of her eyes as she focused them on the dark ceiling of her prison. She tensed and sat up, hugging the blanket around herself as she realized her clothes were gone.
Cai, who was sitting in the corner, looked up when the girl awoke. "There are clothes next to you, on the table" he said. "I won't look" he chuckled. "Not that I haven't seen it"
"How dare you!!" Anira exclaimed, having no memory of him feeding or bandaging her. She look absolutely disgusted and violated, her face red and her eyes wide.
Cai shrugged "You were filthy, and making the bed dirty," he said "It's not like I took off your underwear. Not that I care. If you're really disgusted you can just put on the clothes I left you." He grinned "I could've just let you bleed out, or drink you dry. You should really be thanking me." Cai said cynically.
"Right, just like I should be thanking you for kidnapping me and holding me prisoner!" Anira retorted sarcastically, fire in her eyes. She grabbed the clothes and managed to put them on under the covers, her hands shaking with anger.
"I mean, yes. It sounds like your life wasn't that great before anyway, from what you said." Cai said. "Maybe you're better off this way anyway." he chuckled. "I mean, it hasn't been that bad has it? You sit around, eat food and lay in bed and every once in a while I come around and get MY dinner. Could be worse." Cai stood up, walking around the room aimlessly.
"I was to be married!" Anira snapped, sliding out of the bed and standing. She flicked hair out of her face in anger. "I never met the man, but we had corresponded with each other and I knew life with him would be well. I would be given freedom! Not servitude."
