I haven’t heard of this before but it looks interesting. I’ve just bought the audiobook with one of my spare Audible credits.
I haven't heard of this book or author before but it looks intriguing.
Oh well, it was nice to read along this month. But if I want dystopia, I can turn on the news.
I read this last spring and really liked it. I was disappointed it never really got any attention, so I’m excited for more people to read it.
I bought this book in hardback when it came out. Now I have an impetus to move it to the top of the TBR stack!
$40 for the hard back... Not out in a library ($20 for kindle version)... When the audiobook is the cheapest option sigh....
I got home from a convention, put this on hold at LA Public Library, and got it before dinner ended. LA County library is a three week wait, well within reading time for the book altho I don't need that one due to LAPL providing it so fast. So, for those with access to a library that has it, give it a try.
This one’s been on my radar for a while, with the author being an editor and sometime host on the Escape Pod podcast. Going to use an Audible credit for this one, since there doesn’t seem to be a Kindle option in the UK.
Working at a library, I've made a habit of judging books by their cover (heresy, I know). When this book came in, I had never heard of it, but the cover really appealed to me, so I put it on my to-read list based exclusively on that. So this should be a good test of my book-cover prejudices!
Going to skip this one as I will be vacation for a couple of weeks and not up for dystopia while trying to get away from it all.
Tried this and unfortunately I didn’t get on with it- I found the writing style very flat and info-dumpy. I’m also not a huge fan of this kind of near(ish) future science fiction dystopia. I’ll be sitting this one out.
