When Tracy arrives in Stoneridge, a police unit appears to follow her and then question those she visited. When the police chief finally confronts her, his hostility was clear. Did it feel like normal turf protecting or something more at the time?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments That's not normal at all. Yes, she could have stopped in and told the cops that she would be in the area investigating, but she doesn't have to. The police were obviously nervous about something.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Agreed, that was making her suspicious when they could have laid off that hostile attention.

This was over the top behavior! Jenny had already given them a heads up and if they were still curious, they should have approached her when she first showed up. Following her around and questioning the people she talked to was just wrong. The chief of police went on my suspect list from this point.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments Agree. It did seem over the top after the first time. It felt like the Sheriff knew there was something to hide. I wasn't sure if it was because small towns don't have a large pool of people to apply to the police force, and they know they bumble a lot or have something big to hide.
