SOLVED. YA fiction, c1960s - Four girls get stranded on island at summer camp. [s]

Checked out from library 2001-2002 or so, probably published in late 50s/early 60s. Four girls at camp go out in a canoe on the lake at night, to retrieve the paper boat "wishes" campers wrote sent onto the lake with candles so they can see what others wished for. They get stuck on an island on the lake overnight, and spend the time learning about each other and growing their friendships. Think it's in first person.

Painted cover has four girls in brightly colored robes/pjs in a canoe.

I grew up with Princess by Carolyn Lane, and since got a few of her other fiction books. She also wrote another camp story called The Winnemah Spirit.
