Hello Ilsen!

It took a while to finish my 2nd book because I had a wake and funeral to attend. I just updated the spreadsheet and added my book to my Towers shelf.
Hi everyone!! I’m so sorry that it took me a while to check in but I’m here! Also hi Lisa! I’m glad I have someone familiar on my team to help me out. This is my first time doing Tower Teams so I’m a little scared but I’m excited to do the challenge with everyone! My favorite genres are contemporary and fantasy. I mostly read within the YA age group but I like reading in the other age groups as well.
Right now I’m currently reading These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong and I’m about to start my reread of Zodiac by Romina Russell (I haven’t read the book series since 2016). I’m going to check out the spreadsheet and get myself situated. Thank you for the welcome!
I'm so behind on reading right now. I'm working on
, which by working on, I mean I've stared at my Kindle and wished I had time to read lol.But it's nearly the weekend and I have this weekend off. So yay for reading time. Hoping to get through a bunch of books.

Don’t be scared, Tower Teams can seem overwhelming but it’s really a lot of fun! Don’t hesitate to ask if you’re confused about anything or have questions, we’re happy to have you!!
Karolyn wrote: "I’m officially 2/3 done with my massive Steven King novel. Fingers crossed I might finish tomorrow."That's an achievement. I have
to crack open in month 2.
I’ve just finished my new favourite book of the year
. Took me by surprise how much I loved it. So far a good start to TT.
Karolyn wrote: "I’m officially 2/3 done with my massive Steven King novel. Fingers crossed I might finish tomorrow."I'm doing the audiobook Sleeping Beauties. I eeally wanted to do It but it wasn't available. It feels like I'm barely making any progress but I am very slowly.
Btw, I understand that the books tbr for each team is the sum total of each team members monthly read books. But with starting halfway through May, did the mods half the monthly total and use that?
I updated the Mini Summary Post with the letters and tasks we still need for the May Mini. We're looking good so far!

The total is over the whole challenge, so we don't have to worry about month to month. There's actually a small buffer as well. As a team we signed up for 594 books, and the cap is set at 630.
Well I finished The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, which doesn't count because I read 70 pages before May 15. Now reading The Travelling Cat Chronicles. Should I go over and answer questions about it? Would that give us more points??

Statue Update
As a team so far we've:
-read 36 books with 15771 pages
-earned 1570 page points, 60 BOM points, and 180 mini points
-completed 36 mini tasks, claimed 26 more, and have 22 open tasks
-and are currently in 5th place overall
Way to go everyone! Great start!

A celebration in the book
Deedee wrote: "Well I finished The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, which doesn't count because I read 70 pages before May 15. Now reading The Travelling Cat Chronicles. Should I g..."Yes, if you answer 3 sets of questions, we'll get an extra 20 points.
I am currently outpacing my book limit, just let me know if I need to throttle that back some. I've been on a real reading kick this past week.
Finished! What a terrific read.
From a quick flip through my next read has a wedding in the first few pages which I imagine qualifies as a celebration although in this case the bride's mother doesn't seem happy about it.
Mt. Olympus is aflutter with rumors of a new challenge that will soon be before us! And the Muses seem to be hard at work... so something is coming. Don't be surprised to see an invite to a secret group coming very soon :) BUT... in the meantime we have the May Mini to wrap up, and we only have 15 books unclaimed! The May Mini Summary Post is updated, but in short we need: A(1), C(2), E(1), H(1), I(2), L(2), O(1), R(2), T(2) and a book with a celebration in it (which Elizabeth may have!). As you are filling out the spreadsheet, please include ANY letters that work for your book so the captains can move things around if we need to.
Also - if you want to put a book in the spreadsheet but don't think you'll finish it for the mini... please just leave Column H blank so we don't plan a place for it in the mini challenge.
For those asking how we are doing towards our 630 book target, the spreadsheet auto-magic says that we are 71% of where we should be this many days into the challenge (we've completed 39 books and the math says we should be at about 55). So not bad, but no reason for anyone to worry about needing to slow down!
The mods are getting the next set of challenges ready. Starting June 1, we will be playing one of these challenges with the other Aegean teams. Details will be forthcoming in a couple of days. For now a new group has been created so we can coordinate with the other teams. I've sent invites to everyone who accepted my friend requests at the challenge start. Deedee and Ilsen, if you could accept my friend invites, I'll get your invitations sent as well.
I just added another book to the planning sheet as wellas the one I'm on now. I'll have a good go at finishing it in time. It's a Harlan Coben thriller so should be a much faster read than old Henry VIII.
Elisabeth wrote: "My book definitely has a wedding first up and then a chapter or so later, a funeral!"I changed that book in the spreadsheet to cover the celebration task - I hope between the wedding and the funeral some characters have reason to celebrate :)
Interested in a Buddy Read?
- BR Thread starts June 1
- BR Thread starts June 15No extra points for these. Just a chance to read and discuss the books with others while reading at your own pace.
I'm going to join Empire of the Vampire. I've had it on my TBR for a while and I need an E title for a challenge. And at 739 pages, great points.
Deanna wrote: "Interested in a Buddy Read?..."Oh that sucks, I just finished reading Empire of the Vampire literally right before the challenge started! I might join in for Priory of the Orange Tree though, it's been on my shelf for a while.
The spreadsheet is loading really strange for me so I'm just going to post this one here:Sleeping Beauties
Author: Stephen King, Own King
Finished: May 24
Pages: 702
Letters: A (Angel), C (Clint), D (Don), F (Fitzroy), G (Garth), J (Jared), K (King), L (Lila), M (Magda), N (Norcross), O (Owen), P (Peters), S (Sleeping), T (Tiffany)
Books not finished by June 1 won’t count for the next challenge. But they will absolutely help our team, so keep reading!

That's fine. Added to spreadsheet.
The Supergroup challenge has been posted!
Yes, it's a maze. If you've been playing the individual maze, it will be the same setup just with a bigger maze. Cat has set up a thread for discussing strategy and tasks in the Aegean group.
My library stopped the prescription to Borrowbox (it's like Libby) so I can't continue with
until I renew my card with themIn the meantime I read
,
and
. There's a few different shifter animals there like a phoenix, kraken and kitsune so definitely recommend if you think you'll need to read a book with different shifters in it

Hm, I'm tempted for The Priory of the Orange Tree, but I'll go very slow, because I've got exams and work is hectic.

So, about this maze: is it with a different password or do we use the same as we got for the other maze? And will the tasks be posted?
