Spreadsheet formulas have been updated and are working again.Current unclaimed tasks:
Cookie Monster 3 - Read a book where the MC bakes (professionally or for personal use).
Penanggalan 2 - Read a book set in Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timore-Leste, Vietnam).
Cretan Bull 3 - Read a book where something physical is destroyed (e.g., building burning down and not a relationship being ruined).
Cretan Bull 4 - Read a book where the MC ignores important advice.
Did I miss adding A Thousand Ships to the spreadsheet? I thought I did but don't see it.

Drop Bear
The Drop Bear has been rumored to inhabit your wooded lands. They may look cute and cuddly but beware they are very hard to defeat and come out of nowhere. Just remember, all wildlife from Australia is apparently out to kill you, no matter how cute.
To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 500 and 650 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book set in Australia.
3.) Read a book with a surprise twist (your interpretation).
4.) Read a book with a carnivore on the cover (make sure it's not an omnivore!).
5.) Read a book with author initials found in VEGEMiTE.

Scylla has been spotted close to your shores and endangering ships heading for the harbor. Very hard to defeat and best to avoid if possible, is very touchy when Circe is mentioned.
To vanquish this monster you must:

2.) Read a book with a body of water on the cover.
3.) Read a book that features a sacrifice of some type (your interpretation).
4.) Read a book that features a sorceress.
5.) Read a book whose title contains the word "FIRE"

Finished.I think it qualifies— US and Chinese leaders and advisors are trying to stave off a full blown nuclear war started by Nth Korean rebel forces. Both presidents are given advice by moderates and military advisors which they either ignore or take on board but the South Korean leader ignores US advice about non retaliation when Seoul is annihilated.
The destruction escalates accordingly. Horrific scenario!

Hi everyone! I got a message that I wasn’t being active in the chat! I am sorry for that! I kinda have just been keeping to myself but I’ve been reading every message and reading what I can. I am inputting everything in the spreadsheet so I am taking part. Sorry I’m so quiet!Currently I just finished The Girl Who Drank the Moon and will be inputting everything that will fit into the mini. The replacement for Chimera is...Argus
Argus has been seen on your lands with a case of the dry-eyes. Very hard to kill but can be distracted with white cows. He is vigilant and a great bodyguard as he doesn't need to sleep by only resting a few eyes at a time. Enjoys a good olive, may look for him taking a respite in an olive tree grove.
To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 500 and 650 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with at least 2 pairs of eyes visible on cover.
3.) Read a book with a rock on the cover.
4.) Read a book with character works in protective profession (e.g., police, security guard, bodyguard).
5.) Read a book with "olive" found in text.

The Sirens are back again...Sirens
The Sirens have been spotted on your shores endangering ships heading for the harbor. Easy enough to defeat if you know how, don't recommend calling them one hit wonders though.
To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 100 and 175 pages (inclusive). note the higher page count
2.) Read a book that takes place on a boat or ship.
3.) Read a book with a character who is deaf (any degree acceptable)
4.) Read a book with a rope on the cover.
5.) Read a book with "Mermaid" in the text.
Finished The Monsters Know What They're Doing: Combat Tactics for Dungeon Masters, so Argus is down.
Ok, I found a book that works for Sirens 1 and 3 for sure. At least part of it takes place on a ship, I don't know how much time is spent there, or how much time would need to be spent there for it to count for 2. It also may work for 4 if you count the magical ship's rigging as rope.

I'm also probably not finishing any more books for monsters. My attempt at audio reading 11/22/63 did not go well, lol. The narrator was painful to listen to. Switching to reading that physically and I won't get to that until my days off. And any other audiobook I start won't be finished by Friday, I don't think.
So, guess I'm going to hold off finishing anything until the next mini starts.
