andreia i really like oscar wilde's writing! you should try "the picture of Dorian Gray", it's very interesting! However, the film adaptation sucks.

vallentine ☾ (vallentinevelvet) Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
The heroine is truly relatable if this is the first time you're reading a classic, she adores daydreaming & living into a fictional world. The ideal start if you want to read about a character with a vivid imagination.

constance (constantlyyreading) | 3 comments It is really long, but David Copperfield by Charles Dickens was really, really amusing and the pacing of the book was executed almost perfectly - this was definitely one of his better works!!

Also, I would recommend classical plays (especially for beginners to this genre). Pygmalion is a great play and it is quite funny - there's also a musical based on it, so that might help you understand it better as well.
