What is everyone else reading for this? I have not been in a romance mood lately so I think I am going to re-read the first two Harry Potter books since they are tagged “best friends” many times.
No idea I’ll have to do some searching.
That's a cute idea, Lynne. I found one on a Best Friends in Romance list, but the first part is making me sad. I'm hoping it gets better.

Well, I finished it. And, other than liking Rosie, Alex & Katie, that's pretty much all the good news I have. Now on to the bad news. I found this to be sad, depressing, and overly long. It just went on and on. It made me cry - and not in a good way. I was just so sad for Rosie and all her missed opportunities.
Generally I like epistolary books - I enjoy the format. But I listed to the audiobook, and because so many of the emails and notes were very short, it felt really choppy. And I have to admit to upping the playback speed to finish it as quickly as possible.

I read this about 5 years ago and didn't remember much about it except that I liked it. It's a sweet movie star/girl next door romance with a bunch of other tropes as well: friends to lovers, fake relationship, etc. I had just finished a sad, depressing book and needed something light. This was the perfect palate cleanser.

Review: Really cute coming of age, friends to lover, YA book. I normally have a hard time getting into YA romance books, but Eli Easton did a really good job on this one. Jordan and Own are total opposites in many ways, but have been besties since the second grade. We get to see how their friendship progressed over the years from second grade to finally college in the epilogue.

Review; I should have loved this, but I didn't. I usually love a sweet friends to lovers, fake-relationship story, but the lack of communication kinda ruined it for me. Patrick and Connor had some really sweet moments and I'd be interested in checking out more of the series at some point.

Review: Re-read, I enjoyed this story the second time around. I enjoyed Cohen and Seth getting to know each other anonymously and then coming together after they discover each other.
I have really enjoyed this series. This was a beautiful opposites attract, friends to lovers, sexual discovery story. Cohen is a jock hockey player, but what he shows the world hides a lot of his true personality. Seth is discovering his sexuality as is Cohen they both connect anonymously and form a strong connection before they ever meet in real life. I enjoyed how they supported each other and seeing each of them find happiness.

This story was well written story, but I struggled to connect with it at times. Sean has PTSD from his family's homophobia and conversion therapy treatment. He is very naive in many areas of his life, has trust issues, and is struggling with being 23 year old virgin and not sure who to ask about it. Cooper is in his 30's, an Army veteran who is learning to live with an amputation/new prosthetic. They each bring something to the table to help them overcome their struggles. Sean's story is very heartbreaking.

Adorable! I read this years ago (definitely pre-GR) and enjoyed the re-read. Great characters, sweet humor, and Fred, the fabulous doggo!
So after these we still need another 254 pages.
I'm currently reading "Breaking Creed." It's 309 pages.
I'm heading back to the bookshelves, that book is just not working for my mood. I will probably try again at a later date.

A pretty standard romantic suspense but with the welcome addition of a dog trainer/handler. I think the info on the dog training and handling was my favorite part of the book. The romance was very light and must've started in the earlier series because we're told that Maggie and Creed kissed previously. Sadly, the author didn't work at building any real sizzle between the two MCs in this book.
The storyline felt really choppy and some of the scenes (especially Creed trying to take on all the bad guys by himself) weren't particularly believable.
It was okay, and if I knew it would get better in later books, I'd read on. But I'm not sure if that's the case or not.

Review: This story was awesome. I loved Sammy with his big puppy heart and just wanting to help other dogs and be loved. We met Rav in book 3, but we really get to know him in this one. Rav loves dogs and connects with them much better than people, he runs a dog shelter and soon relocates to Mad Creek to open one there. Sammy's discoveries are so sweet and childlike, but not at the same time. We find out what happens when a quickened is neutered in this story. I have really enjoyed each story in this series, but this one was perfection.
