Heroine takes over peoples bodies by breathing her soul into them. She has lived for hundreds of years and decided to let her current body die, tried to do CPR and accidentally transfers into the person’s body.
Novel opens with a scene in a masquerade ball, where our heroine almost dies and is given a potion to take over someone’s body. From then on she has to take a new body every few days to continue living, and does so until the present day. Her boyfriend is very controlling so she wants to get out, so she keeps the girl’s body and tries to work out what is happening in her life.
Book ends with the controlling boyfriend implying he knows who she is, suggesting there will be sequels. I don’t know if it is a series as I only read one book.
The concept is similar to Touch by Claire North, but it is a different book.
