SOLVED. 90s Children's chapter book from POV of cat that fights a rat. [s]

I’m looking for a chapter book that I read a few times when I was younger, but I can’t remember the title of it. It was from the POV of a cat with a little girl owner. All I can remember of the plot is the cat fighting off a rat in the basement, and saving the little girl from it one day.
