Stepbrother Romance, cant remember the main plot only that the h is with the H when she finds a kitten in an alley in the rain,

the dreaded curse of the book u r reading reminds you of another book u have read has struck, here i am re-reading filthy ride by l nicole and rock finds a sick kitten on the side of the road and straight away my head decides to remind me of what i think is a stepbrother romance where the h is with the H when she finds a kitten in an alley in the rain, he wraps it in his coat and then they take it first to their home and then to a emergency clinic, they stay in the H’s room all night taking turns giving the poor thing its medicine , but can i remember the title no i cant any help would be great, this story was published before 2020

It sounds familiar, but I can't remember anything else. Do you think it was published in the 70's, 80's, 90's, early 00's? Print or ebook? Was it a series like Harlequin?

It was published some time in the 00’s, the only other thing i think i remember is i think the h was waking away from her stepbrother upset and got distracted by a noise in the alley by a dumpster, i also think the parents may of been away on a trip or at work

I think I remember the book A Time To Keep. I can't remember if Tony is the younger brother or stepbrother to the H, Jason. The h, Lauren was in a serious car accident that her brother died in. She had serious injuries and was working for her friend who was a lawyer. She went to a party with Tony and that's where she was introduced to Jason. Lauren found the injured kitten in the alley near her office. She fell in the snow and hurt her leg and Jason found her. I can't remember if they took the kitten to a clinic or just took care of it at Lauren's apartment. Jason was 48 and Lauren is 28.

That is not the story i am looking for but i have added it to my list of great recommendations as it sounds like a really good story , the stepbrother and sister in the story i am looking for were mo older than 25 i think and also in college or seniors in highschool
