Olajuwon Sutherland | 1 comments This book took place during the 1800s. It’s about a Doctor who has two kids. A first born daughter and a second born son. The father resented the son because the mother died during his birth. The son is the main protagonist. The doctor went off to a town to heal and medicate the people of said town and didn’t return for months so the son set off on a journey to find what happens. He comes across a family who had the fathers pocket watch in their possession and later learns that his father has been robbed and killed. The mother’s name of the family was Kate and the daughter’s name was Kate 2 (kate 2 was the main antagonist of the novel). Kate 2 ran off and was captured by an Indian tribe but later convinced them that she could talk to the dead spirits. She told the tribe that she was in contact with their old leader and was able to take power of the tribe, robbing and killing many families all over Oregon, (I’m pretty sure that’s where the book takes place if I can remember correctly…) the son (main protagonist), and a sheriff track down Kate 2 to bring her to justice. The son had a lot of resentment in his heart because he knows his father , the doctor, blamed him for his mothers death and now that his father was dead, he could never address their issues and some way form a better relationship. That chance was stolen from him forever. Please help me find this book. I read it some time in 2013 , although I’m certain it was published in the early 1900s. Thank you!
