about a man on holiday in a villa with old friends and framed for a murder thatt happened 10 years ago while they were last on holiday after body found in a well and bits of his t-shirt were there?!?!?!

read the book between 2014-2018 - published around then too I think.
If it's the same book I'm thinking of - it keeps flipping back to his life in contrast to those 'friends' he's on holiday with. He didn't commit the murder but I seem to recall he was brought along on the holiday so he could be framed for it. Lovely hot holiday villa - annoying people some are very smug with their lives . . .
Started watching The Holiday on Channel 5 and it reminded me of this book and its bugging me I cant remember the books title or author! Many thanks for any pointers!
