Spoiler Alert**

Book 1: after the swap, the pince carries the "spoiled princess" to a snowy kingdom and leaves her in a derelict cabin for a month to fend for herself. He has magic and speaks to gnome like creatures that appear out the ground from a special tree.

Book 2: The heroine appears in a cage with other women, her features are very distinctive and different from the other women. They are being held as part of a wife hunt for a dessert tribe. They are released at night and told to run; basically a head start. The chief of the tribe takes part in the hunt for the first time and captures her for his bride.
