I finished a book for my task, and had already started on the next book in the series, when I went to fill in my maze. My next book needs to be a M-Z title with a body of water on the cover. the book I'd already started fits beautifully.

Little things like that make up for the hideous tasks, lol.

And now "Read a book with 21-30 chapters"! Which should be easy! But the three books I'm currently reading have 19, 31, and 32 chapters respectively and I want to throw them against the wall 😂

Anything political triggers my curiosity. I also read spy novels just to get that conspiracy theory vibe! Though these days there is too much politics going on in real world as well....

I was considering to have a skip on my current task - having to go south was limiting my choices, when I came across this one:


3 couples end up locked on a scary mansion in a escape room meets I know what you did last summer meets desperate housewives type of book.

So far, I am enjoying it.

I know this challenge is new so I wanted to suggest that the north/south conditions get randomized in the future? The way it is now we're almost always going south so I can never pick titles from A to M. It means half of my TBR is almost always ruled out. If it flipped randomly that would give those titles a chance!

The unfortunate thing is the edition I was reading has odd number of pages which I realized when I was putting it for the Maze. I am so angry right now
So now I got a dead end and will have to read extra to compensate. I so hate that book

I just got a task repeat – it was the one before last... is there any way I can "legally" skip this? (without spelling out SKIP)

It feels a bit boring... (and to be honest I'm also annoyed cause it's the worst task I've had so far - finding a book on the "the best urban fantasy" list. I don't like the genre in the first place and the list is - to put it mildly - one of the bigger messes on Goodreads, so it's really hard to find books to "cheat" with too.)

Haha yeah I was thinking it'd probably be right up a lot of people's alley! But I was just lost... there's over 4000 books on that list and I scrolled through the vast majority of pages... so out of like 3500 books I've seen, there were MAYBE ten I hadn't red yet and was considering (and every single one of those is distinctly not urban fantasy)

I would take that to be three letters in the same order as they appear in the alphabet.
"I Made Fun of Myself"=DEF in the title.

But I could be wrong.

Not a dumb question at all! Tricia and Jenny are right. You could also use Ella Minnow Pea: A Novel in Letters (L M N) as the letters don't have to be next to each other in the title.

If a book I read in order worked, I used it. Lucked out that I just finished a book that takes place in Iceland in winter for frozen country/world.
