Thoughts on Project Hail Mary

Okay I just finished Project Hail Mary I wanna hear y'all's thoughts if you've read it. If not, I'd highly recommend it.

Personally, I really enjoyed it, found it consistently intriguing, and overall liked the way it was presented, especially the flashbacks.
I can't help but feel a little let down by the ending however. I can't pin down why, but I left feeling dissatisfied.

i really enjoyed project hail mary! there were very little times where i felt Bored throughout the novel, though they did honestly appear at moments.
i loved the way weir played with time and revealed things as the story went along, though, all of the flashbacks and two storylines going on at once was super intriguing and delightful to read
but i personally wasn't left dissatisfied, i feel like i wanted to know what came next, but that's just a symbol of novels in general for me, honestly. (view spoiler)[i'm also a sucker for found family and the principle of "nature tells us to love one another" so, to me the ending was pretty perfect. it didn't spell out the whole message of the story as the martian did, but i really was left super happy at the end of the novel, and i absolutely adored the time skip into rocky and ryland's relationship :) (hide spoiler)]
