Welcome back to the Amazing Around the Year Around the World Baking Biking Race! I'm your host Betty Spaghetti and it has been a whirlwind of a finale!
Starting in Miami Florida, our baking biking superstars raced 10654 miles all the way up the east coast of North America, across the frigid reaches of Canada, and the back down the west coast to wind up back in San Francisco. Google maps might tell you this would take you 150 hours, but this is Reality TV where the rules of physics do not apply!
And what Amazing dessert were they concocting on this semi-impossible ride? Croquembouche!!! Delicious pastry balls filled with creme, stacked into a tower using caramel, and surrounded by a dazzling display of spun sugar! Amazing! Each contestant was further tasked with introducing a surprise ingredient of their choice to really WOW the judges. Cinnamon was a favorite, obviously, but Anna's anise made a big impression. Todd's thyme didn't go over as well. The winner of this week's Handshake of Hunger and of the weeklong competition was....
Everyone?
Hey wait a minute! That's not how these shows work!
Ahem, apparently, we don't actually have any prizes or money to give out, so everybody's a winner! You get a handshake! You get a handshake! You get a handshake! Handshakes for everybody!
Well it's been a blast folks! Join us next season when we subject our bakers to even more deadly peril! I'm your host Betty Spaghetti!
