The thing is the main focus should be on Lily.

I respect your opinion because of the way you express it and the way you re-evaluated your previous one. But the question you asked makes it sound like It Ends with Us is a romance novel. It is not. (EDIT: I read the novel thinking I was getting into a romance story because of similar posts that mainly focused on the romance that is indeed in it. Let's just say realising it was not one was rather triggering on my part. Which is the reason I want to make sure people who might run into your post without having read the book are aware that the main focus of this novel is not the romantic one.)

In my humble opinion, both Atlas and Ryle are shitty characters (sorry not sorry). Atlas is unrealistic and his past mistakes are left undiscussed. And I don't think I need to express myself on how I feel about Ryle any more.

But screw those characters for a minute. Lily grew up with an abusive father and ends up with an abusive husband. She could end up with a frog for all I care. Her story is what's most relevant, not which guy she will end up dating.

I invite you to read the review I left for this book (simply because I express my thoughts more properly in it, and I also explain how -despite being annoying- readers are not entirely to blame for making It Ends with Us sound like a romance novel). Of course, you may not do so -- I'm re-directing you there because I don't feel like spamming this thread anymore haha. ^^

Defo Atlas, he was romantic and the history between lily and atlas was so sad. I loved them both since the start, i literally sobbed over them. Though i also fell for Ryle in the first part of the book, but ever since part 2 i instantly stopped liking him for what he done to Lily. So I’m Team Atlas 🙌.

I was always hopeful that Ryle would change, but he never did. Somewhere deep in my heart, I am rooting for him. Atlas is okay I just feel like his character is a little bland. But I am glad Lily got what she wanted. Pls don't hate.
